Inkedu
A piece made for @inkedu, a great tattoo artist and an even better person: the technical drawing of a coil tattoo machine, laid out as a blueprint. It has a side elevation, a front elevation, a plan view, section A-A and a title block with the parts list. White ink on dark blue paper, with Sakura Gelly Roll gel pens in 05, 08 and 10.

About this work
It is a tribute to our friend @inkedu, a great tattoo artist and an even better person, which is why it portrays the tool of the trade: a coil tattoo machine, taken apart as in an engineering drawing. The side elevation is at 1:1 scale and section A-A, which cuts through the coils and shows the hatched core, at 2:1. Every part carries a number that points to the title block: frame, coils, springs, contact screw, capacitor, tube, knurled grip… There are dimensions in millimetres, a border with grid references in the margins and, in one corner, the Kills Tattoo logo. From a distance you see the machine; up close you can read the measurements and the names of the parts, which the plotter writes too.
It is drawn on the pen plotter with white Sakura Gelly Roll gel pens in three widths, 05, 08 and 10, on dark blue paper. It reverses the usual drawing: the line is light and the ground is dark, like the old blueprints of architects and engineers. A3 format.
